Location

Touwsberg Reserve’s ideal location guarantees residents of maximum security, as it is conveniently close to the well-known Route 62, without bordering onto the tarred road. The Reserve stretches from the dense vegetation of the Touwsberg mountain range to the open Little Karoo planes. This ensures a wide variety of flora, including Cape mountain fynbos, Karoo succulents and dwarf shrubs.
The Reserve is situated only 35km southwest of Ladysmith, 45km north of Barrydale and 280km northeast of Cape Town, which makes the Reserve ideal for a quick weekend getaway from any of the surrounding towns. Closely situated and famous tourists attractions are the Warmwaterberg Spa and Ronnie’s Sex Shop

Climate
Situated on the border of the Boland fruit region and the Little Karoo, Touwsberg Reserve offers a unique climate with clear, sunny days and temperatures varying between 16ºC and 35ºC. The Reserve’s favourable location ensures summer as well as winter rainfall, varying between 250mm and 400mm per annum.
Not only does the Karoo’s dryer climate enhance physical as well as mental wellness, but it is also famous for its ability to treat and restore respiratory problems.
